About Maseno....
Maseno university is a well known university across the globe for many reasons with the major ones being the only university in the world that lies on the equator, offers all degrees with IT and produces competent and industry oriented graduates. Following its technology achievements it has been considered a university of choice by many. The international community too appreciate this and therefore the introduction of a global network for scholars (Eduroam) in Maseno.
What is Eduroam?
Eduroam stands education roaming. This is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam network allows students, researchers and staff from participating
institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when
visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their
laptop or the smart phone.
Eduroam started in Europe and it has has gained popularity throughout the
research and education community and is now available in 71 countries across the globe. Thank God Kenya is one of the participating Countries and even more that Maseno is among the universities across the world that you can get Eduroam. Benefits of eduroam over other unsecured networks

How to access eduroam
In order to access eduroam connectivity, you will need to configure your gadget either your laptop or smart phone with few simple steps. You need not to be a computer guru to do this but having that everyone has a basic IT understanding it will be more than easy. You will be required to follow simple steps that will be outlined.
Since eduroam is a secured network, it will need you to use a username and a password which will uniquely identify you.
Your username will be the Maseno university student mail address and the password will be your admission number excluding the slashes.
NOTE: if you are not aware of your student mail, kindly download email list here and search your admission number.

Example: say your student mail is xyz@student.maseno.ac.ke and your adm no is ph/00063/011
you will be required to use the student mail as it is as the user name and the adm no without slashes (ph00063011) as the password.
